Vilma Flood to Nalen with her debut album in Swedish

When Sista bossen is released in January, a new chapter begins for Vilma Flood. On Friday 19 March, she comes to Nalen in Stockholm to perform songs from her first-ever album entirely in Swedish for the very first time.

Vilma Flood first broke through with the album Flood in 2023. With its intricate soundscape and deeply personal lyrics, it reached listeners across Sweden through appearances on national television, a duet with Loney Dear, and extensive touring.

The follow-up, the three-track EP Glowing Like a Holy, Ghost, was praised by Aftonbladet, which wrote that “a well-deserved broader breakthrough is likely just around the corner”. It also featured her first recording in Swedish: Rosen, an interpretation of Bette Midler’s The Rose. The song brought Flood together with producer Hampus Norén, who continues alongside her into this new chapter of music.

In recent years, Flood has also appeared with Moonica Mac on Så mycket bättre, contributed to recordings with artists including The Legends, and performed at the televised tribute concert to Olle Adolphson at Cirkus. In 2025, she also performed a duet with Lars Winnerbäck on SVT’s På spåret, later released on streaming platforms.

Led by the first single Små saker, Sista bossen arrives in January as Vilma Flood’s first album entirely in Swedish. The album is about when life becomes too difficult and all the extra lives are gone. A monster enters Vilma Flood’s life and mind, but also helps guide her through to the other side.

“Being the kind of person who just keeps pushing through apparently isn’t very good,” says Vilma. “A year of personal crisis, obsessive thoughts and separation.”

“The Boss is a frightening source of anxiety and can only be defeated if you become friends with it – and that’s the last thing you want,” says Vilma Flood about the monster that gave the album its name.

In spring 2027, Vilma Flood takes Sista bossen on tour with stops in Avesta, Malmö, Stockholm and Gothenburg. On Friday 19 March, the tour arrives at Stora Salen at Nalen.
