BALTHVS to Nalen with psychedelic grooves

Blending psychedelic music with funk grooves, Latin American rhythms and extended jam improvisations, BALTHVS have carved out a place of their own on the global groove scene. Following tours across four continents, acclaimed appearances on KEXP and the BBC, and performances at some of the world's most renowned festivals, the Colombian trio comes to Nalen in Stockholm on 24 January.

There is little doubt that BALTHVS is the biggest psychedelic band Colombia has ever produced. By seamlessly blending psychedelic music with funk grooves, Middle Eastern-inspired melodies, Latin American rhythms and extended jam improvisations, the Colombian trio of Balthazar Aguirre, Santiago Lizcano and Johanna Mercuriana has created a place of its own on the global groove scene. Since their debut in 2019, the band has continued to explore new musical territories through five studio albums, one live album and twelve EPs.

With tours across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, BALTHVS has established itself as a name on the international live circuit. From festivals such as SXSW, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Montreal Jazz Festival to acclaimed appearances on KEXP, Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Café and the BBC, the Colombian trio continues to expand its global reach. On 24 January, BALTHVS comes to Nalen in Stockholm.
