Det Stora Monstret Set for Nalen with a new live band

There is music that entertains, and then there is music that stays with you. Det Stora Monstret’s heavy pop songs, with their fragile, razor-sharp lyrics and bittersweet melodies, belong to the latter category. On Saturday 3 April 2027, Jacob Johansson and his new live band will make their first appearance at Nalen in Stockholm.

Under the name Det Stora Monstret, Jacob Johansson describes and questions the world we live in in a truly unique way. Through his sharp lyricism and bittersweet melodies, he seamlessly weaves together the deeply personal with themes that resonate on a global and existential level.

It is poetic and political at the same time. Songs that go straight to the heart, linger in the body, and take on a life of their own.

Det Stora Monstret’s music has been praised by listeners and critics alike since its inception in 2014. Following the live debut of the new band at Pustervik, Daniel Claeson of Göteborgs-Posten described the music as “a bastard born from Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged album and Radiohead” and awarded the concert 4 out of 5 stars.
