Alfa Mist brings his five-piece band to Nalen

Multi-instrumentalist, rapper and producer Alfa Misthas reimagined jazz in a contemporary form, shaping a distinctive sound where hip-hop, improvisation and neo-classical textures intersect. On February 5, he comes to Nalen together with his band.

After discovering jazz through sampling producers such as Madlib and J Dilla, Alfa Mist took an unexpected path from east London’s grime scene to becoming one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. With roots in hip-hop and a deep sensitivity to harmonic complexity, he creates music that consistently prioritises feeling over perfection.

Never confined to a single genre, Alfa Mist’s work spans hip-hop beat-making and collaborations with artists such as Loyle Carner, Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch, as well as neo-classical compositions for the London Contemporary Orchestra. With performances at venues including the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall, Alfa Mist and his five-piece band deliver concerts infused with urgency, dynamism and expressive power. With the new album Roulette, the time has finally come for Stockholm to experience this remarkable artist on February 5.
